This project began with observing how people naturally share resources in their communities. We studied gift economies, lending libraries, and informal sharing networks to understand the social mechanics behind successful resource sharing.
The platform design focuses on reducing friction in sharing while maintaining trust and community bonds. We created playful interactions that make giving feel rewarding and receiving feel grateful.
The platform successfully created micro-communities around sharing, with users reporting increased neighborhood connections and reduced waste. The quirky design elements helped break social barriers and encouraged participation.
