ONE-PARAGRAPH BIO

I'm a multidisciplinary designer with 7+ years of experience crafting systems, products, objects and experiences that merge playful thinking with practical solutions. My approach draws from diverse backgrounds spanning design, academic research, philosophy, stand-up comedy, and fine dining, resulting in work that merges analytical precision with intuitive creative instincts. In my work, I like to put fun in function—while my process is characterised by playful, experimental, occasionally silly approaches, I'm committed to delivering work that is clever, relevant and well executed. I'm comfortable working autonomously but always excited to join collaborative environments where I can thrive on mutual feedback, expand my skillset and help shape projects that are as thoughtful conceptually as they are compelling visually.

Currently based in Amsterdam.

I graduated in Graphic Design in Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, where my graduation project Basketology won the Waag Technology & Society Award. I continued my education by joining two masters programmes at the University of Amsterdam (MA), where I graduated with distinction and specialised in critical analysis of creative generative AI. For my MA New Media and Digital Culture thesis I wrote about perceptions of AI in online prompting communities. For my MA Philosophy thesis, I wrote about how generative AI changes our ways of seeing. During my final academic year, I collaborated with Dr Claudio Celis Bueno and Dr Pei-Sze Chow at the Institute of Advanced Study to co-author a paper on generative AI and creativity, published in the AI & SOCIETY journal.

I'm a multidisciplinary designer with 7+ years of experience crafting systems, products, objects and experiences that merge playful thinking with practical solutions. I create both digital work—websites, digital experiences, motion design, social content—and physical artefacts like rings, modular clothing, embroidered designs, and woven furniture. My approach draws from a diverse background of professional experiences—each bringing something essential to my practice. Together, they result in work that merges analytical precision with intuitive creative instincts.

  • being a designer provided me with visual skills and process knowledge,
  • working as an academic researcher brought analytical thinking and evidence-based approaches,
  • studying philosophy offered frameworks for questioning assumptions and exploring meaning,
  • performing stand-up comedy taught me writing, timing, public speaking and how to navigate any audience,
  • working as a fine dining chef brought understanding of experience design, attention to detail, and creating memorable moments through all the senses.

In my work, I always aim to combine fun and function—while my process is characterised by playful, experimental, occasionally silly approaches, I'm committed to delivering work that is clever, relevant and well executed. As an academic researcher of AI and creativity since 2021, I bring unique insight into emerging technologies and their creative applications. I'm AI-fluent but not AI-obsessed—I use these tools as creative collaborators rather than replacements for imagination and craft.

My client work spans cultural organisations, academic institutions, commercial companies, music labels and the tech sector, including Royal Academy of Art (KABK), Are.na, University of Amsterdam, ARIAS, Eye of Jeronimo, SmoothSail Music, KREA, Post-Office and Martinez Gallery NYC. I'm comfortable working autonomously but always excited to join collaborative environments where I can thrive on mutual feedback, expand my skillset and help shape projects that are as thoughtful conceptually as they are compelling visually. As of September 2025, I'm especially interested in work pertaining to strategy, modular design (emphasis on fashion and industrial) and food-related projects.
